Hangin' @ Starbucks in beautiful Palm Springs!

Hello my friends ! I have missed talkin' to ya , been busy with my reality of life , of business .

My family owns a bunch of properties all around Los Angeles & my inlaws are retired & just too tired of havin' to fix them up & rent them out , so my hubby & I have helped out by getting them fixed so we can rent them out to the travellers , so I've been out here in Palm Springs for the last two weeks , only getting a couple of days at home in the desert then back over here in Palm Springs . I have missed home but its so beautiful & warm out here that I really don't mind it . I practically live in Lowes LOL! ordering all this stuff for the condo , but the condo is coming out really well , I will be back with pictures of that to show ya . This morning I woke up & decided to head over to the Starbucks with my computer & my art journal get some art work stuff done for a change , since its been all about the condo this last two weeks . So being here has been catch up for me . Taking a break from work for my dreams . Life is what you make of it . I tell ya even though my life is not bad because the work I do is just renting out properties so that I can continue to not have a day job , I really can't complain , but! I really just want to dive into my art, and everytime I try , I have to stop to step into reality , the real world of do the work to continue to live the way you want too.

Anyways gotta go , I'll be back to tell ya whats up.

About to embark on a dream to long in waiting...

Hello my friends! Sorry I haven't blogged in a while , was out of town in Big Bear then Palm Springs , then Venice beach now back in the desert . As some of you know , I am not only a mixed media artist or a filmmaker or a mom or a grandma , or a wife,or a fashion designer , I am also a musician . I love music always have , I think its poetic and just amazing to hear and to sing to . My hubby and I have been doin it ourselves for a long time now . I would say for about 10 years , and him even longer . We have tried for so long just to get it out there as it is said but with record companies wanting no one past the age of 25 , how do us older talented artists even stand a chance , so they all give up . Everyone we know in music has given up and its so sad . They don't even want to be our friends anymore because they don't want to be reminded that you shouldn't give up . Dave and I said all we got is eachother /ourselves .

A couple of weeks ago , we had got some cameras from a company called Zoom . Yes! cool name huh! Anyway , we were so excited because no one was really using it to its fullest potential . The Camera is just a flip with a microphone on it . It is great for concerts but we took it a step further . The reason for my week long trip this last week was we did a music video with these cams , and pretty impressive! The video was just so crispy as I like to call it ,because its an HD cam .

I don't know, whats gonna happen , Dave and I are very determined to go over to the Zoom booth tomorrow and just hit them with our best shot , and hopefully get an endorsement to push the product . All of my friends here , we all have one thing in common , and that is our DREAMS! We are all dreamers here , and If theres one thing we always speak about in our blogs , is making our dreams come true , and NEVER GIVE UP! I maybe a mother,grandma,wife , homemaker person but I still want my dreams , no matter how old I am or get, we all have to continue to try . I am very proud of myself for this accomplishment.

When I went through all the stuff with my family , that I thought was gonna be too hard to live ,think or ever be the same person I was before all the emotional pain about 6years ago , I look back now and just think , " YOu did it! "

This is Dave & I making the music video , all for the shot , I was freezing in the snow & tried very hard to look like I wasn't cold . He's getting all serious in this picture . Gettin' all mad at me because I wasn't taking the shoot seriously , but I was , I just had to document it as well is all LOL!

From Big Bear to the lower desert of Cali called Palm Springs . Out here ,as you enter the Coachella Valley you see all these wind fan thingys . Its kinda known for those out here . So we thought that would be an awesome place to have part of the video shoot at . See the snowy mountains in the background thats where we came from up in Big Bear , really cool that we captured that huh ?

Everywhere we went to make the shot for the video , this is what we would do . Dave of course , would have to be the one to set up the shot and press record on the camera because he was really serious about making it work , and it did .

So hopefully! I will have some really awesome news to tell ya in the next couple of days .I just want to say to all out there , you can do it! and It can be done! Because Im doing it and Im gonna get it! Dave and I will ...very soon!

Wow ! Talk about a New Year with Snow for the first time in years!

Wow! Happy New Year everyone! So I wake up on sunday morning and this is what starts happening ...snow . Now I didn't think much of it because it normally just snows a little and the snow doesn't even sick to the ground so this is how it started . Well the picture above is my house after hours of non-stop snowing couldn't believe it!

So it started like this just a little snow , Dave and I woke up that morning and we were so excited just the fact it was snowing , we thought this was all it would do but boy , no way it kept going .

Now I live 45 minutes from Hollywood,so this much snow for me! Is crazy! For a desert rat like me? This is amazing! I usually have to go to Big Bear to get snow like this and this is right here at home . Again! A sign to me of times changing .

I just want to say one thing about New Years . Don't be down because you think there are goals you have to try to do , or like you failed last year . Don't think about any of that stuff . A New Year isn't suppose to make you feel depressed or miserable, it should make you feel like its a fresh start to everything and with everyone . Thats how I chose to see it . Alot of people I spoke to about the New Year were so doughtful of their fresh start. I was really sad and puzzled that everyone I knew was giving up that things could turn around for them . Only we can turn it around for ourselves , not anyone else . If you change your perception everything can be more positive.
