Here is my first project as a design team member for Scrapbooking & Friends ! I used the stamps from My Grafico here is the link to go and get these fine stamps from :

I really enjoyed doing this very much . I love doing scrapbooking , but I just don't like following the rules that I have to do it in a scrapbook way , I like throwing mixed media art into it , so I have my art journal and I printed some pics that I have on my photo drive and printed them on matte foto paper , which is cheaper than the regular photo paper and its not heavy at all which is nice for putting in your art journal . I used acrylic paints and doylies from last years valentines day , and painted them on with matt medium , I also applied matt medium on my photos , so I hope this gives you an idea of how fun art journaling on a scrapbook type way , in an artful way is fun , I like the fact that I can take my art journal anywhere and just look at some good times when I want to be reminded of how lucky and fortunate I am to have a wonderful family . : P

I feel like Im finally got a system , where things are gettin' done! Its a good thang! : P

So... I was busting a move yesterday , and lately I have been really tired because I have some fibroids I have to have removed and they are just sucking my energy , so Im always tired and its really hard for me to do alot , but yesterday I finally took some medication that I was told isn't good to take because the side effects but it was prescribed to me so I said to myself , at this point , it be best because I seriously need to get stuff goin' .Well I felt great , no fitigueness ,full of energy,I felt great for once , in a really long time . I got all my laundry done and put away and I did some pics on photoshop for my next project for the design team Im on for , " Scrapbooking and friends " , Im really excited to show you that when Im done . I should be getting started on that tonight sometime .
On a good note , I will be having surgery in March , which is also my Birthday at the end of that month , but I didn't mind because I just am so tired of being tired . Once I have this surgery done , I will be my normal self again , which Im really excited about . Alot of good things are happening for us this year , just have to keep reminding myself to keep to those goals , keep striding to get closer to completing . I felt great at the end of my evening last night , when I put my head down on my pillow I went into dreamland with a smile on my face , because i knew I had accomplished some stuff that day .
I hope today I can feel just as good and accomplised as I felt yesterday , not to mention watching John Mayer seranade me on the tv , wasn't bad , it helped alot LOL!

part 2 & 3 of the traveling art journal

My Zodiac Art journal of the New Year!

Its a New Year everybody! I thought , I know this year I had some New Year's resolutions . When it was New Years eve Dave and I went with Miss. Panda Woo on a hike . We decided to do it live on our mobile and while we were out their , we asked ourselves that question? What are your New Year's resolutions ? Dave had picked , " Just do it ! ", and I , " Live ! ". Daves thought on his words were , because when you wait to do it , your getting older so you might as well do it now! I told Sweep ( thats my nickname for Dave ) , what the word , " Live ", meant to me was , chose to be free ! Let go ! release yourself of all of it and be your truest form , that would be your soul personality , and just discover yourself . We both agreed that the New Years rezez , didn't have to be many, just whatever words we could have a conversation about .

On this New Year , I started a new project , and kept focused on all the art journal entry and all of what it means . This project I have embarked on is at Monica Zuniga's Ning group called , "Hands On Heart". Monica teaches classes and also has various groups , one being ; " Zodiac Art Journaling " . We have started with Capicorn which is from Dec. 22nd to Jan. 19th . So the picture above is my zodiac art journal entry to the group . I definitely understand Capicorns feeling and wrote my journaling about how I could relate based on the feelings I had in those couple of weeks that were very Capicorn .
